Sonic the Hedgehog has some of the greatest music in video games. I am of course referring to the Genesis games, today Sonic games have really cheesy songs that are in the "so bad, it's good" category. Here I'm listing 10 of the best in no real order. It was pretty hard to cut the list down to 10, so look out for another one of these lists some time in the future. In the mean time, sit back and marvel at what bands like Crush 40 think pass for music.
All Hail Shadow by Magna-Fi ~ Shadow the Hedgehog
Shadow is one dark and edgy guy. He is black with red stripes, and has a gun. Shadow the Hedgehog has a lot of songs that are really bad, but I'm limiting this list to songs that are enjoyably bad, not so bad you want to poke your ears out. This is Shadow's theme song and I imagine 12 year olds would find this to be cool and edgy, but it's pretty bad.

Escape From the city by Crush 40 ~ Sonic Adventure 2
This is the first song you hear in Sonic Adventure 2 and it's amazing. Because it's right at the beginning of the game, it's more well known and the cheesy vocals and guitar make it pretty memorable. Crush 40 are the masters of cheesy rock.

Can You Feel the Sunshine by TJ Davis(<3) and Brian Jacques ~ Sonic R
Sonic R has some of my favorite music in video games. The cheesy synth mixed with TJ Davis' singing make the entire soundtrack incredible. "Can You Feel the Sunshine?" is the music for the first track in the game and one of my favorites. Can you feel the sunshine? I know I can...

Sonic Underground Intro
An amazing opening to an amazing cartoon. Sonic Underground has Sonic as a royal triplet who has a magic guitar that shoots lasers. Every single episode has a concert in it, so Sonic Underground has the most bad Sonic songs out of anything.

My Sweet Passion - Fumie Kumatani & Nikki Gregoroff ~ Sonic Adventure
This is the most bizarre song on this list. Amy's theme song is completely incomprehensible. I THINK this is what my favorite lyrics are saying, but I could be wrong.

Seven Rings in Hand - Steve Conte ~ Sonic and the Secret Rings
A different musical direction for Sonic songs, but an equally bad one. The Wii exclusives don't have as many songs, but Seven Rings in Hand makes up for quantity with quality.

Sonic Boom - Spencer Nilsen ~ Sonic CD
This is the beginning of vocal songs in Sonic the Hedgehog, until Sonic CD there were none, but then "Sonic Boom" happened. (Well technically, "You Can Do Anything" is the first, but that was the Japanese version of "Sonic Boom") This is one of my favorites and it's pretty catchy.

Super Sonic Racing - TJ Davis(<3) & Richard Jacques ~ Sonic R
This is the main theme of Sonic R and pretty much encapsulates everything wrong and right about Sonic music.

Unknown from ME ~ Sonic Adventure
Before Shadow, Knuckles was the "cool" character in Sonic. To establish that, they created this "song" for Sonic Adventure. While everyone's theme song in Sonic Adventure was pretty darn bad, this one stands out for how ridiculous it is. The rap and singing are bad enough, but the constant reminders that Knuckles is SO COOL are quite brilliant.
