The Cold War has supposedly been over for 20 years now, so what’s with all these films pitting Cold War spies against each other? Salt continues the trend formulaically, but also spectacularly- it is truly the new template by which “Spy vs Spy” films should follow.

Guess who’s back…back again…Predators returns the franchise to the jungle, but manages to keep the formula intact. Whether this is a good thing is entirely up to the viewer.

This week for I Don’t Even we are watching Crystal Triangle. This is another one of those classic OVAs from the same era that brought us masterpieces like MD Geist and Mad Bull 34.

Somehow we’ve never done a syfy original movie before. I would normally summarize the plot here or something, but I think the boxart and the words “syfy original movie” do a good enough job by themselves.

Sonic Triple Trouble (Japanese title: Sonic & Tails 2) is a direct sequel to Sonic Chaos (Japanese title: Sonic & Tails). This movie was so bad that Wiseau claimed it was a comedy after everyone made fun of it. Featuring a no-star cast, this movie’s plot stays still for about 70 minutes with occasional sideplots that are forgotten after their scene ended. Where Pixar first pushed the envelope many years ago, they picked it right back up and pushed it some more. The environments are still colorful, the characters crisp and the dynamics of scene almost overwhelming. Despite being fully human-sized, I immediately could feel the room growing around me until I was the same size as Woody and the gang.
